FSSA Educational Foundation Scholarship Application

Applications are Accepted Annually

The FSSA Educational Foundation is accepting applications from talented and worthy individuals within the fire suppression industry. Applications for the current year will be accepted through June 1.

Scholarship candidates must have graduated from high school or its equivalent before June 1 of the year in which they will use the scholarship. Scholarships will only be awarded to students who will be participating in the fire protection programs at their universities. Students already enrolled in one of these colleges are also eligible to apply.

There are no restrictions based upon employment status or the gender, race, creed, or nationality of the candidate.

Previous winners are eligible for a second award.

Applicants must complete the Scholarship Application Form and submit it on the FSSA website in ONE PDF to FSSA Educational Foundation Headquarters. The attachments which must accompany the completed form are:

  • A transcript of grades and credits through the most recent grading period (high school applicants) or transcripts covering a minimum of the previous two scholastic years.
  • A letter of recommendation from a person employed by a firm in the fire suppression industry. This person should hold an executive or managerial position.
  • A letter of recommendation from a teacher, professor, or other education professional.
