Today, the Federal Register released this final rule that specifically points to clean agents used in fire suppression as well as handheld portables. The Department of Defense (DOD), General Services Administration (GSA) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), as well as other federal agencies, are being directed to move toward climate friendly, low GWP, non-HFC materials when feasible in fire suppression, specifically in clean agents and handheld portables.

We understand that our member companies regularly engage with these agencies, which is why we are sharing this information.
