Getting to Puerto Rico by Air There are two international airports in Puerto Rico that offer daily nonstop flights to and from major cities in the United States, as well as weekly nonstop flights to and from international destinations such as Montreal, Toronto, Frankfurt, Madrid, Bogotá, Panamá City, and San José. San Juan is also the leading gateway to the Eastern Caribbean, with several airlines that operate daily flights to more than 20 destinations in the Caribbean.
Getting Around Once you've arrived, you can comfortably get around San Juan by taxi, rideshare (Uber ONLY), or public transportation. Or, explore more of Puerto Rico by renting a car! You can drive all the way around the Island in about five or six hours, but you'll want to stop and enjoy beaches, historic sites, and delicious food along the way.
